YA Highway Road Trip Wednesday #81

Oh, I’ve always wanted to do a YA Highway Road Trip Wednesday, and this one was right up my alley: What is the strangest/weirdest thing you’ve ever researched? So glad you asked! Some of my stories have included:

---breach pregnancies

---50s style wedding dresses

---feeding schedules of baby goats

---Route 66

---hallucinogenic leaves found in the Amazon

---percolator coffee pots

---shoeing horses

---loom weaving

---graveyard maintenance

Anybody curious about something in particular?

  2. Oooh, the hallucinogenic leaves are intriguing. What's your story about? Does the ingestion of these leaves result in graveyard maintenance down the road? :)

  3. @Miss Cole: I thought so too! I wanted to know what happened to cards and flowers left in cemeteries, and the story just came to life.

@Tracey It was a researcher who went to study indigenous tribes in the Amazon. They used a particular leaf in a ritual, and he breathed in the smoke. Spooky, mysterious things happened with a little artistic license. :)
